An Púcán in Galway officially serves the best Gin & Tonic in Ireland.
The winning creation features Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, a fresh red chilli pepper and a slice of fresh mango, topped off with premium fever tree tonic.
The announcement follows last week’s Great Irish Beverage’s Gin & Tonic festival, which involved over 220 venues from across the island of Ireland. The public was invited to vote for their favourite via social media. An Púcan won the vote hands down.
This is the second year running that Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, which is distributed by Dalcassian Wines & Spirits, has won the public vote.
Last year, the inaugural year of the festival, saw Davy Macs Waterford win the national award with their Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin and elderflower fever tree tonic serve.
Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin is slow distilled by hand with oriental botanicals and gunpowder tea at The Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim.
